FABRIC OVERVIEW
About This Fabric
An 11oz imperial green-blue low-stretch slub denim, 170 cm wide, for utility jeans and fashion workwear.
Buyer Overview
HW804 combines an imperial green-blue shade with a subtle slub surface and low stretch. At 11oz and 170 cm wide, it is aimed at cargo jeans, utility trousers, dad fits and chore-jacket programs that need movement without the look of high-elastic skinny denim. The shade gives designers a route toward military, forest and blue-green palettes while the 3/1 right-hand twill preserves a recognizably denim surface.
Color development should separate the target shade from the intended fade. Confirm whether the lot is sulfur, reactive, piece dyed or yarn dyed, then request the relevant rubbing, washing and light-fastness evidence. Grade 3.5–4.0 can be specified as a target for rubbing and washing, but only a current test establishes performance. For vintage effects, approve both the initial green-blue cast and the washed-down layer.

Marker, Cutting and Sewing Guidance
A 170 cm width is approximately 66.9 inches. Cost marker layouts from the measured usable width, keeping direction-sensitive cargo pockets and jacket panels aligned with the twill. Low-stretch material should be relaxed before spreading and tested for growth; it cannot be graded using the same negative ease as a high-stretch quality.
Washing and Garment Development
Use stepped enzyme trials to create a controlled worn utility appearance. Excessive abrasion can flatten slub character or produce uneven pale zones, so compare pocket edges, knees and seams on a complete garment. Add anti-backstaining control for contrast trims, and measure dimensional change and recovery after the chosen wash because shrinkage is not yet published.
Buyer FAQ
How is HW804 different from the green HW1010 fabric?
HW804 has verified low stretch, a slub structure and 170 cm width; HW1010 is an 80/20 colored twill whose stretch and width still require confirmation. Compare free swatch cards before selecting.
Sampling note: Stock, lot, shade and technical performance can change. Request a free swatch card, then confirm sample yardage and current test data before bulk production.
