Lightweight denim fabric
What is light weight denim fabric? As we all know, there are three kinds of denim fabric thickness: light denim fabric, medium denim fabric and heavy denim fabric. In general, we think that fabrics under 6oz are light denim.
Compared with heavy-duty and medium-sized denim fabrics, lightweight denim fabrics require higher quality.
- The quality requirements of cotton yarn are higher, and inferior cotton yarn will obviously reduce the comfort of clothing.
- In the textile mill, the speed of the textile machine cannot be too fast to prevent the yarn from breaking, thus affecting the production efficiency.
- The density of finished light denim should not be too sparse to prevent the fabric tensile strength from being too low, which will affect the finished quality.
Therefore, because of higher weaving efficiency and quality requirements, the price of fabrics will be higher.
The composition of light denim fabric is generally cotton or Lyocell. Polyester/cotton blends and Lyocell blends are also available. The style and feel of the products have their own characteristics. I will have an article in detail later.
Light denim fabrics are mainly used for tops, such as denim shirts, denim dresses and jeans.
